Welcome to the pie shop
Drew this while watching Sweeney Todd for the fifth time. The drawing was done with a ball point pen, an the coloring is Photoshop. Don't mind the border in the drawing, I forgot to take off that layer.

Young Girl
Here's another attempt, and there's music!
I took a different approach with this one. It's more controlled and considerate in terms of shapes.
The videos don't actually go as far as the image you see here. I had decided to adjust the colors and values, as well as some edits, and didn't really think I needed to record it.
Done with Photoshop CS2, recorded using Camtasia, and some songs by Feist.

Perfume and pearl
The first one was done while watching 'Perfume'. Great movie, will have to find time to read the book. It's more of an impression of the character than of the actor.
The second one is a more refined piece of the third sister. Both with Photoshop.

Testing, testing
Here's an attempt at a video. I haven't figured out how to add music yet, so have something playing when you're watching this.
Also, notice the abrupt stop, that was because Photoshop froze up on me. The image you see here is what I was able to salvage and refined a bit more.
Will try to do more, but it makes it choppy when I paint.

Previsualization
Trying a different approach here. I took a picture of my oil sketch, developed it further in photoshop, and will eventually finish the oil painting using this as the reference.
Stay tuned.

Charcoal Drawing
Been busy preparing for a show that takes place this Friday at a local gallery. I was able to do a study this evening though. Done with charcoal from a photo. Will do a painting next.
Haven't used charcoal in a long long time, it feels as messy as ever. It really makes you think about every mark.
I also made a charcoal sock, basically a bundle of charcoal powder. It's very useful for laying down the initial tone.
