Sash

Its time for an update I think. Just a small sketch showing someone how I paint.

I'm still traveling, having the time of my life. Hope you all are too this year.

That person is very lucky. Do you have any videos of your process?

stunning, as always!!

Quick question -- do you recommend any books that have been particularly helpful as references or inspiration to look back on for an 'intermediate' level or more experienced artist? i.e. artist's books, compendiums or guides for anatomy, color, technique etc. basically anything you've used to supplement your practice from life drawings that have served to be resourceful along the way?

I've been trying to rebound from a dreadfully long and seriously uninspired hiatus, so right now I hate everything I put to paper. but your work always lights a creative fire in me and has given me some hope for the new year, so sincerest gratitude for that. your talent improves lives. :)

Thanks a lot everyone!
Sakara, inspiration is a hard thing to pin down, but I have always find that after a dry spell, it is best to look at the things that inspired you in the beginning. I tend to watch movies, animated films, and I have a vast collection of images that I go through to spark some interest. I sometime go for a bike ride and do some nature viewing, but I think the best thing you can do during this time is to sketch as much as you can. This might be a good way to clear out the 'blockage' that have been built up. I hope that helps some, but let me know how it goes.
